Editorial Standards

Editorial mission

Expediente Pasaporte tracks identity, passport power, offshore money and political exposure through public-source monitoring and editorial analysis.

Source classes

  • Public Record: court filings, official notices, regulatory documents and authenticated public records.
  • Allegation: unresolved claims attributed to a named filing, party or complaint.
  • Analysis: editorial interpretation of public material.
  • Opinion: clearly labeled commentary.

AI assistance

AI may assist with monitoring, translation and drafting. It does not replace editorial review for sensitive claims.

Corrections

Correction requests should identify the URL, disputed passage, supporting evidence and a reply contact.

Bylines

Default newsroom attribution is Redacción Expediente. Individual bylines are used only when appropriate.

How we work

  • Public-source first: every brief is built from openly available filings, registries, court records and prior reporting.
  • AI-assisted, human-reviewed: automated drafting is checked against the underlying sources before publication.
  • Transparent attribution: sources and methodology are listed on each report where available.
  • Right of reply and corrections: we update or correct promptly and label changes clearly.
  • Trilingual desk: stories are produced for English, Spanish (Español) and Russian (Русский) audiences.
